Qualifications
Attended Mcnally Smith School of music. Percussion major, minor in guitar. I have authored two instructional percussion books. "Drum Set Essentials" and "Studies In Odd Time Signatures"
A little bit about me
I started playing in bands as a teenager. I really wanted to play guitar, but bands were always in need of a drummer. So I bought a drum set, and joined my first band. After playing in various local bands in the Saint Cloud and Minneapolis area, I co-founded the rock group Seazon of the Fly. I played drums over the next decade with them, sharing the stage with national acts such as; Saliva, Buck Cherry, Days of the New, Local H, Non-Point, and Powerman 5000. But now I felt like it was time for new challenges. In 2010, I started a new project playing guitar in a band called This Mad Future.
Gigging and performing at night left time to give private lessons during the day. Before long, I started to form a vision of combining my love for performing with private lessons. Music Mentors is the realization of that vision.
